Holiday Shows!

Hi Everyone,  Happy Fall!
I know its been a while since i posted last.  Who knows where the time goes!  Well since we last spoke, there have been some changes to my spot at Rooster Creek and  I have signed up for a few shows around the area.  Here is a quick run down of whats new and whats coming up.

August was the last post.  We went on Vacation up north and it was a blast, spent time with family and had a few adventures. When we got home I had only a few weeks to prepare for the  Vintage Marketplace show. That show was so fun!  I got to see so many people I hadn't seen for so long.  Sales were awesome and the atmosphere was pure joy!

I have shrunk, shrank, ...made smaller, my booth at Rooster Creek, I have decided to carry mostly patterns and sewing items there.  I want to do more shows and I just don't think I can keep up with both spots, keeping them both full of new products.  For my handmade goods you can find them on line, or at the shows listed, or some items are also in Cottage Charm in Murrieta off Ivy and Jefferson.  The patterns will be going through a make over here pretty soon, so watch for the new look, as well as new patterns in the Spring. Of course all current Patterns are still be available on line and holiday themed are available at Rooster Creek.

I have signed up for 2 more shows this year.  I will be at The Urban Barn in Escondido on Oct 8th from 9-3 This is a new show for me, I don't know much about it.  But I am excited to find out!

and then at The Behind the Picket Fence on November 5th in Costa Mesa. I have been here many times but this will be my 2nd time as a vendor!  I love the little kitchen, so many yummy things to eat come out of there.  Home made apple pie, lemon curd, apricot scones...I am already hungry!

Barn Sale this Weekend

Where does the time go?

How is it that it was May one minute and here we are in the last weeks of June?  

I cant believe how time flies by so fast, and I feel like I am just standing still...

Lots of changes have happened in the past month, good and bad.  But we are pushing forward.  I wont bore you with the details.  

I going to take some much needed time to regroup and update things here at the farm and hopefully re emerge with new and exciting patterns and goods ready for you.  Look for these changes in August and September.  

Well that's all for now, its very late and I need to get to dreaming!  

I hope all is well with all of you and you are handling this heat wave we are going through!  Hope its not a sign of heat to come! Whew!  118 is pretty hot around here!

The Country Loft & Etsy Update

Hi Everyone!

Lets play Good News, Sad News...The Good News is Etsy has made some unique updates. Then the not so Good News is one of my favorite shops is going to be closing soon.  Anyway, on with the post...

First off, Etsy is launching a new look for its sellers...It should be live tomorrow, it says the 5th but I bet it will take a day or two to get all of it up and running.  There are some great improvements and I hope the page is better to navigate for everyone to shop. I have so many plans for that page, that I can hardly contain myself.  There is a stack of pattern wanna-be's on my desk just waiting to be finished. I have been so busy lately, I need to get those new goodies listed on my new and improved page!!! I hope to have them all up soon!

I am so excited to be able to update my page...Its been a while.  I think I need about 10 more of me to get things done around here!  HaHa!

For the Sad News.

I will be headed to my favorite shop this week, its closing soon and if I could, I would spend night and day there until they kick me out on the very last day!  Its been around for many many years. They are just going to finally retire.  I can't blame them, but they will be missed terribly, for sure!

The Country Loft, always feels like home as soon as you walk in.  The smiling faces of those wonderful women who run this place, who leave you cookies and yummy things to drink, travel miles and miles to bring back the very best antiques, and cut out each and every piece to each and every kit for each and every project. I say Thank you!  Thank you, for everything you ever did to make this place so special.  I am happy you are retiring but terribly sad to see you go.  Much Love and Good Wishes to you all, and God Bless you Always!!!

I hope you all have a place as special as this one is to me and so many others.  Treasure these amazing shops, before they are all gone.

Being Hacked

Dear Friends,
I have been experiencing some very odd comments here on my blog lately.  I am afraid I am going to have to shut down my blog unless I can figure out how to stop this.  Please make sure you are not receiving any unwanted posts on your computer, I don't know if that can happen or not, but just to be safe.

Consider this the pre warning, Just in case I cant figure out a way to stop the comments, I am so thankful for all of you for following me and once this if fixed, I hope to create a new blog again.

I really hope I can figure this out instead of shutting it down.

Vintage Marketplace Friday March 11 2016

Oh Boy!!!  I am so excited!!!

Tomorrow is the big huge giant day!  The Vintage Marketplace that is one of the best markets around is opening tomorrow at its new location, The Galaway Downs in Temecula CA

I cant wait to see what everyone has been up to, and what kind of goodies I will find!!!   

Plus I get to see some of my favorite people...  I hope to see you there too!!!!  

Congratulations to Christy and Rita plus all the amazing behind the scenes staff that helps to make this show a must see destination!!!   

All the Vendors work so hard to find the most unique items and create the best one of a kind goods for all their customers.  It is well worth the trip! 

They are open Fri and Sat...you have to go, don't miss it!

I wondered if I could ask a few questions about how you shop for your favorite things.

When you want to purchase your fabric, patterns, home decor, vintage items, hand made items, one of a kind goods and such.  Where do you usually buy them or prefer to buy them?  

Are you more likely to wait and shop the shows? Ex: quilt show, vintage market or flea market?  

Or do you have a favorite shop/shops you go to? Country shops, Mom n Pop Gift shops, Vintage Malls.

Or are you more likely to shop on line. Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, Artists Personal Web pages.

I want to know where you go the most...how often do you shop for these types of items? Are you buying for a gift, personal use or home decor?

Behind the Picket Fence

Howdy Friends!  

We are headed to Orange County in the Morning!  There is a great Vintage Market at one of my favorite shops in Costa Mesa! This shop is called Piecemakers, and has been around for a long time. This place is amazing!  Looks like a cabin right in the middle of the city, complete with a giant grizzly bear to greet you as you walk in the front door.  They have all sorts of buttons, trims, patterns, classes, fabric and gadgets for all your sewing and crafting needs.  You could spend an entire day in this place and still not see everything.  Then there is the food...Oh the yummy things these gals make in their little kitchen. They will make lunch for the show tomorrow, plus homemade scones with apricot, and white chocolate, and then  homemade lemon curd!  My ultimate favorite! Its so creamy and lemony zesty...my mouth is watering already!  They also make a giant apple pie.  The crust is so flaky and the apples have just the right amount of cinnamon to make it perfectly delicious.  Oh I cant wait! 

 Piecemakers 

So not only will we have the pleasure of seeing this amazing shop, we will also get to shop in one of the best Vintage Markets around...These vendors make a parking lot come alive with their creative displays and all their treasures they have found for us to peruse. Jennifer has been conducting this market for over a year now and its well worth the trip.  If you are in the area I highly suggest you grab your friends and get down there! 

Next on our list is Orange Circle.  This little town has some wonderful shops. There is Country Roads, an antique mall like no other.  It has a back garden with all sorts of items as garden decor.  Plus plants and flowers  you can purchase.  204  W Chapman, Orange, CA

My friends shop The Victoria Company pictured below 146 s Glassell Orange, CADonna has hand painted signs with bright colors, funky dolls, antiques, antique linens and table cloths, and some other vintage goods. The nicest gal you will ever meet, she will treat you like you guys have been friends from birth!!!  I just love her! Oh and Great prices too... 

There is another great antique mall but I can't remember the name, but they sell refurbished vintage stoves and refrigerators.  They look like the just came off the factory line!  

A great bakery called the Blue Frog is next to Victoria Co. Giant cookies, cinnamon twists, cupcakes and you name it.  The bathroom is a little scary to get to but, everyone needs a little adventure, right?  

I hope you are in the area and can get to these places, you won't be disappointed. If you can't,  be sure to follow them on Facebook and tell them Wildoberry Farms sent ya! 

I also wanted to let you know, Rooster Creek is having their Barn Sale tomorrow as well, I hope we get back in town in time, cuz I hate to miss out on it...Its always filled with one of a kind goods and hard to finds, plus lots of, Oh I need that!  They are in Murrieta and if you can't get down south to Costa Mesa, Be sure to head over there. Vacation is Over!!!

Hi Everyone!!!

Our little holiday Vacation is over and its good to be back on line!

We had a wonderful holiday, and I hope you and your family did too! There are lots of plans for this new year and I hope you will come back often and maybe even sign up your email so you will get my blog posts delivered right to your inbox!
