Behind the Picket Fence

Howdy Friends!  

We are headed to Orange County in the Morning!  There is a great Vintage Market at one of my favorite shops in Costa Mesa! This shop is called Piecemakers, and has been around for a long time. This place is amazing!  Looks like a cabin right in the middle of the city, complete with a giant grizzly bear to greet you as you walk in the front door.  They have all sorts of buttons, trims, patterns, classes, fabric and gadgets for all your sewing and crafting needs.  You could spend an entire day in this place and still not see everything.  Then there is the food...Oh the yummy things these gals make in their little kitchen. They will make lunch for the show tomorrow, plus homemade scones with apricot, and white chocolate, and then  homemade lemon curd!  My ultimate favorite! Its so creamy and lemony zesty...my mouth is watering already!  They also make a giant apple pie.  The crust is so flaky and the apples have just the right amount of cinnamon to make it perfectly delicious.  Oh I cant wait!

So not only will we have the pleasure of seeing this amazing shop, we will also get to shop in one of the best Vintage Markets around...These vendors make a parking lot come alive with their creative displays and all their treasures they have found for us to peruse. Jennifer has been conducting this market for over a year now and its well worth the trip.  If you are in the area I highly suggest you grab your friends and get down there! 

Next on our list is Orange Circle.  This little town has some wonderful shops. There is Country Roads, an antique mall like no other.  It has a back garden with all sorts of items as garden decor.  Plus plants and flowers  you can purchase.  204  W Chapman, Orange, CA

My friends shop The Victoria Company pictured below 146 s Glassell Orange, CADonna has hand painted signs with bright colors, funky dolls, antiques, antique linens and table cloths, and some other vintage goods. The nicest gal you will ever meet, she will treat you like you guys have been friends from birth!!!  I just love her! Oh and Great prices too... 

There is another great antique mall but I can't remember the name, but they sell refurbished vintage stoves and refrigerators.  They look like the just came off the factory line!  

A great bakery called the Blue Frog is next to Victoria Co. Giant cookies, cinnamon twists, cupcakes and you name it.  The bathroom is a little scary to get to but, everyone needs a little adventure, right?  

I hope you are in the area and can get to these places, you won't be disappointed. If you can't,  be sure to follow them on Facebook and tell them Wildoberry Farms sent ya! 

I also wanted to let you know, Rooster Creek is having their Barn Sale tomorrow as well, I hope we get back in town in time, cuz I hate to miss out on it...Its always filled with one of a kind goods and hard to finds, plus lots of, Oh I need that!  They are in Murrieta and if you can't get down south to Costa Mesa, Be sure to head over there. Vacation is Over!!!

Hi Everyone!!!

Our little holiday Vacation is over and its good to be back on line!

We had a wonderful holiday, and I hope you and your family did too! There are lots of plans for this new year and I hope you will come back often and maybe even sign up your email so you will get my blog posts delivered right to your inbox!

Holiday Vacation!

Hi Everyone!  

Christmas is almost here!  I hope you all have an amazing holiday and a blessed New Year!  Don't forget to write down your new resolutions, or do like I do and just add to the last years unaccomplished list!

I want to let you all know, I will be taking a Holiday Vacation from Dec 27th thru January 30th.  We will be back up and running by Feb 1st.

Our kitty Sam

This is Sam, he was about 2 years old and full of nonsense! He loved his people and loved to wrestle and chase the other cats around.  He would talk to you, but mostly to my husband.  He loved water and playing with lizards.  Loved rolling in the dirt till he was brown and no longer black...at all...then that's when he would come in.  We should have called him Pig Pen. When he was in a lovey mood you could get him to bump heads with you and would purr and purr!  Loved food, of any kind.  He was a dumpster kitty until we got the privilege of being his family. He would play fetch, only like the black toy mice with a tail. loved his dogs, and everyone who walked in the door. 

I am writing this all down, because Sam lost his life today to a pack of hungry coyotes.  Right out front in our neighbors driveway.  He was a good boy and didn't deserve to die in such a terrible way.  It was early this morning and we are all grieving. 

This is the hardest part of loving pets, its never easy to say goodbye, but it hurts like hell when you loose them like this.

This post is dedicated to all of you who have ever lost your fur baby too soon.  Our heart aches for him and for your fuzzy loves.   

 I forgot to mention one very important thing he use to do, when he played, he would do random somersaults. Would just start flipping around leaping and jumping, then would take off running...he was such a silly boy and his sense of humor will be terribly missed.

I am sure I could write a whole book on just Sam and his sillyness.  

I thank you for stopping by and reading my blog of daily nonsense and sometimes heartache.
