Summer...

Hi all,
When I was younger and would say things like "Oh I can't wait to be older" My Mother would say "don't wish your life away, its going fast enough"  I never got what she meant until I became an adult...and she was right...life does pass by you fast enough...Now the older I get the faster time seems to go by...I can't believe we are in the last week of July?  I still need to go to the beach, and catch up on my Summer reading, have our family BBQ and other summer things. This Summer has been filled with home improvement projects, we started with one in February, and here we are in July and we are still working on things...the one has now become many...all in mid production, my goal this week is to finish as many as possible, most are just little things, like sanding and painting.  I am confident I will finish, then next week I can work on my Summer Fun List!!! ( I hope)

I hope your Summer Fun List has some check marks on it!  Family Vacation, maybe a Reunion, Beach Trips, Amusement Parks...Just make sure there is some fun and don't let time rush by without taking a break from all of life's chores!

Speaking of work...I have been working on some new patterns, (In between the home improvements) of both Fall and Christmas.  I am looking forward to Idyllwild show in Sept.  My Hubs and I stay at one of the local cabins there and its a working weekend, that doesn't feel much like work.
Sandie and I are working on a dual pattern, my contribution is stitchery and hers is the quilting...it is going to be a great pattern!!!  I can't wait to reveal it at the show!!!
I will post the other new patterns here and on my etsy page as soon as they are complete...

I am working on a web page, and also a page to let you know where you can find me in other stores...Yet another Summer project...lol

I hope you all are enjoying your Summer, and try not to let too much time fly by you before you do the one thing you have been putting off...go do something fun, the work will still be there when you get home, but the chance to spend with friends and family and to make a new memory is right now...
I am telling you this as much as I am telling myself...
Have a great rest of your Summer!

See you all soon, Be well and Be Blessed,
Thank you all for coming by~

Great Weekend!

Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a great 4th of July weekend!  We sure did...We had family n friends over for a BBQ on Friday the 4th, then Saturday it was off to the Desert for an afternoon with some great friends we haven't seen in a very long while, then Sunday was very relaxing and I took about 15 naps (cat naps really) and watched the Pioneer Women marathon all day!  It was a much needed day off!  Now its back to work tomorrow, today was shopping for grocery's and all the errands I didn't run on Friday!
I hope you all have a great work week and try to stay cool...
This is our rescue Rocket( the one pictured on the right of my blog...)He isn't so little any more, he is weighting in at 19 lbs these days...I just needed a pic and he looks happy resting in the garden! Our other kitty Olive was making some ruckus in the back ground that's why his ears are back...did you know cats have 30 muscles in their ears?

Have a great evening! Talk to you soon, be sure to like us on Facebook and keep up with all the goings on!

Behind the Picket Fence Show Pics

Hi Guys,
Well the show came and went...It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun! I was able to be surrounded by some awesome friends, Lori from Simply Put patterns, Kat from Plaid Kat Designs, Kelly from Tularosa, and Rachel from Madam Blues!  Sandie and I had a blast! We saw some other really great artists too!  There is another Show in August, and its not a bad drive if you get a chance,  you should go, and make sure you have a homemade Scone and Homemade Lemon Curd...I finished mine off with the lid of the container...lol ...Yes its that good!  Almost like the best lemon pudding you ever had...

Anyway I thought I would share some Pics of the booth and such if you didn't get down there.

We are sorta off for the summer, getting ready for the Holidays, new patterns and goods to work on.  Our Next show is in Idyllwild September 6-7th at the same place as last year. See a previous post for more details.  If you want to have a great weekend, stay at the Strawberry Bunkhouse its very close to the show and town.  They make you homemade scones in the morning and hang them on your door along with oatmeal and juice! In these darling little baskets.

Ok here are the pics let me know what you think...

Our new sales counter!

Sales were good, for the most part. As vendors sales are always hinged on what is going on at the time.  This time of year its Graduations, Vacations, Kids out of school, and of course the Heat.  But in spite of all that, we had a great day and I am forever thankful for every sale!  I am very blessed to be able to do what I do, and its because of awesome friends and customers like you who are ever supportive of my efforts!
Thank you all so very Much!

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July Weekend, We will be home with our scardy cat dog Charlie, as he is terrified of any kind of noise like that!  But we are having family and friends over for a game night and of course...eating...lol
Blessing to all of you stay safe and have loads of fun!
